I teach blues dance locally (at Shades of Blues, the Rent Party, and Friday Night Blues), and have taught in the past in San Diego and Portland. I'm also a lead instructor at Atomic Blues Fusion two years running, and have been an instructor at Camp Blues in Santa Cruz, CA.

People take classes from me because I'm a teaching nerd with killer pedagogy, because I pay attention to how dances feel as much as how they look, and because I keep them smiling.

I am available for private instruction during evenings and weekends. I charge $50 an hour, with student and volume discounts available (ask!). Up to four people may share one private lesson. Workshops and events are priced individually, and I can teach solo or with one of my two partners, Ruth Hoffman or Lauren Henry.

I generally teach private lessons out of my apartment near City College of San Francisco (Brighton & Ocean). If you'd like a lesson in an alternative space, ask me and we can probably work something out.
